Chemical peels are one of the oldest aesthetic procedures documented in history. In fact, the forerunner of the lactic acid peels of today was Cleopatra’s famous milk baths. Chemical peels can be used to treat excessive pigmentation in the skin from sun damage, to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, to soften facial scars and even to control acne.

The Vi Peel is a chemical peel comprised of a synergistic blend of acids that offer incredible results with minimal downtime.

TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid): This acid penetrates to medium-depth in the skin, stimulating collagen production.

Retin-A  (retinoic acid): This acid is derived from vitamin A and functions to increase cell turnover in the skin, resulting in glowing skin and decreasing fine lines and wrinkles.

Salicylic Acid: This beta hydroxy acid (BHA) is an exfoliant that also has anti-acne properties.

Phenol: Phenol has antiseptic and anesthetic properties and assists in penetration of the other acids.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): Vitamin C has well-known antioxidant properties and also has mild exfoliating properties.

This proprietary blend of acids and antioxidants results in one of the safest medical peels available today. It is designed to improve the texture of the skin by removing the outer layers of the skin that have sustained the most damage, allowing healthy, glowing skin to emerge. It works wonderfully in decreasing and often removing hyperpigmentation from sun damage (“sun spots”) on the face, chest and hands.

The Vi Peel can be performed every 2-4 weeks for those with significantly damaged skin. For regular maintenance of healthy skin, we recommended having a peel every 3-4 months.
